Find Your Drivers and Assets With Real-Time Tracking

The positions shown on this map were less than 30 seconds old when this screen shot was taken. FoxTrax GPS tracking devices update the server as often as every 20 seconds when the vehicle is in motion. Drivers are represented on the map by color-coded icons. Click on a point to see more information. You can send the driver a text message right from the map.

Reporting

Sometimes a map isn’t enough, you need a report. Our reporting tool tells you where your drivers were, how long they were there, how long it took to get there, and what it all cost. The report builder makes it easy to include only the data that you want to see on each report.

Geo-Fences

The device is set for a reporting interval while inside and outside the Geo-fence.  Every 5 minutes the motion detector is turned on to check for motion.  If no motion is detected, it is turned off and will report at the standard interval time.   If motion is detected, it will turn on the GPS and check to see if the device is inside the Geo-fence.  If inside the Geo-fence it will turn off and then check for motion every 5 minutes and report at the set interval time.   If it is outside the Geo-fence, it will send an update and then report using the GPS at the set outside Geo-fence interval.  Once back inside the Geo-fence it will go back to the set interval reporting.

Dynamic Geo-Fence

In a Dynamic Geo-Fence the user does not set up the Geo-Fence but the modem creates these based on its location on the fly.   When the unit is powered on it will set up a Geo-Fence.  It will check for motion every 5 minutes while both in and out of Geo-Fence locations.   If the device does not detect motion for the inside the Geo-Fence reporting interval it will send an update.   During the 5 minutes motion check if motion is not detected no message will be sent.   If motion is detected it will turn on the GPS to check if it is inside the Geo-Fence. If inside no update will be sent, when outside the Geo-Fence it will send an update then report at the outside Geo-Fence reporting interval.  During this time it will still be checking for motion every five minutes.  If motion is detected it will see turn on the GPS to check if it has reentered the Geo-Fence.  If it has re-entered it will send an update and revert to inside the Geo-fence reporting interval. When it determines that it has become stationary it will set a new Geo-Fence based on its new location, send out an update and revert back to the inside reporting interval.
